In order to meet our international climate goals, the industrial sector needs to completely rethink its energy use beyond energy efficiency. Solutions need to encompass a large-scale transition to renewables and other fuel sources, as well as a deep decarbonization of industrial processes, materials and distribution networks.

Building on the work of its predecessor – the Industrial Energy Accelerator – in 2022 Small World Stories helped UNIDO to rethink, upgrade and revamp the Accelerator’s brand and platform. The new Industrial Decarbonization Accelerator offers a hub of information and experience on energy efficiency, alternative fuels and deep decarbonization for people working on the front lines of this challenge.
