Feature stories on the impact of pollution

GAHP

Environmental pollution is the single largest cause of disease and death in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). In 2022 we partnered with the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP) to help promote some of the key findings of the updated report on pollution and health, published in Lancet Planetary Health.

We produced four feature stories focusing on lead pollution in Senegal which mostly affects children, smoke pollution from the seasonal forest fires in Indonesia, in-door pollution in Madagascar due to wood and charcoal based cooking and chemical pollution in Azerbaijan.
