About Small World Stories

Created in 2011, Small World Stories is a strategic communications and content production company specializing in a wide range of social causes. With storytelling at the heart of our approach, we work with government and non-government organizations worldwide to create communications strategies and products designed to advance programmatic goals.

The climate crisis is, in part, a communications crisis. To inspire action, the way we communicate about the planet and our relationship with it must change. The Climate Communications Resources Hub (the Hub) curates tools and resources to help everyone communicate the climate emergency more effectively. The resources in the Hub dive into some aspects of climate communications, discuss good and not-so-good practices and make practical recommendations to communicators, marketers, PR agencies, activists and anyone else interested in communicating the climate emergency.

The objective of the internship is to support the day-to-day management of the Climate Communications Resources Hub, while contributing to its accessibility, promotion and growth. The intern will report to Small World Stories’ co-director and work closely with the organization’s social media and digital leads. The specific tasks to be performed by the intern will be tailored to fit the candidate’s interests and skills. Tentative tasks include:

You share our passion for climate and/or science communications. You are currently enrolled or just finishing a graduate or bachelor’s degree programme of a recognized institution in related fields: Environmental/Science/Climate Change/Development Communications; Climate Change and Media etc.

We are accepting applications on a rolling basis. Please submit your CV to Macarena Aguilar (maca@smallworldstories.org). In your email, let us know briefly why this internship interests you, what you bring
to the role and your availability.
