Sharing your Stories
Impact. Issues. Voice
In a world of information overload, we can help your organization or community to share its story of positive change with a wider audience. Our stories help you to demonstrate impact to funders and supporters and encourage more people to get behind your initiatives. They can also boost awareness about pressing issues or amplify the voices of the people that you are working to empower.
What we can create with you
The Small World Stories network is made up of journalists, photographers, writers, videographers, producers, directors and designers, who all have two things in common: we are passionate about sustainable development and we have lived and worked in developing countries with government, non-government, multilateral and private organizations. Our stories are informed by our experience and come in the shape of:
- Short-form documentary videos for web, events or broadcast
- Journalistic articles for web or publication
- Photography for web, publication or exhibition
- Infographics for web or publication
- Social media content for Facebook, twitter, instagram, YouTube or blogs
Through our ever-expanding partnerships with broadcasters, we can support you to distribute video stories with particularly strong editorial content.
How it works
Our stories are told from the perspective of those who are empowered by your work. They are emotive, but also informative, giving the audience an insight into the wider realities and challenges faced by those that you work with. In this way, our stories often raise awareness about underreported issues, give a voice to lesser-heard people and provide insights into how challenges are overcome.
We work with you to identify compelling storytellers and storylines within your network. We then deploy a small creative production team with local knowledge to document and produce your stories, which can take many shapes and be shared in countless ways.
